2015年美式足球超級盃２日開打，賽事之外的年度娛樂重頭戲，當屬全球超過１億觀眾目光焦點的中場表演，今年的表演歌手是即將於４月28日來台開唱的凱蒂佩芮，開場時她隻身挺立在一層樓高的黃金雄獅背上，豪氣騎著幻獸邁向舞台中央，一手駕馭韁繩、另一手則緊握麥克風高唱〈Roar〉，開場氣勢堪稱近年之最。
連換４套衣服
凱蒂在12分半鐘的演出中，一共換４套表演服；她先是穿梭於3D棋盤的棋子間，演唱〈Teenage Dream〉時又換上俏麗短彩裙，與舞者裝扮的卡通鯊、海灘球逗趣舞唱。首位神祕嘉賓是搖滾歌手藍尼克羅維茲，兩人合唱〈I Kissed a Girl〉讓全場忘情舞動；然而後半場表演焦點，卻被第２位神祕嘉賓徹底搶走鋒頭。
嘻哈教母蜜西艾略特雖已近10年未發片，但她以王者架勢出場演唱 〈Get Ur Freak On〉、〈Work It〉、〈Lose Control〉組曲，原是主角的凱蒂，只能淪為尷尬自High的合音配角。壓軸演出時，凱蒂登上流星移動舞台，在〈Firework〉高昂的歌聲中，結束本屆超級盃中場表演。
網友惡搞瘋傳
反應快的網友在比賽還沒結束前，就紛紛在各大社群網站，搶貼揶揄凱蒂表演服裝的對比圖，撞衫對象從《神奇寶貝》、超級賽亞人、零食包裝、到《冰刀雙人組》中威爾法洛的戲服，都讓凱蒂的超級盃表演，意外成為當天社群最熱門的搞笑話題。
